Hello friends,
We're thrilled to share with you the incredible journey we've had in Vietnam over the past week. From heartfelt encounters to witnessing life-changing moments, our mission trip has been filled with blessings and opportunities to spread God's love.
Our adventure began on Tuesday, January 30th, as we landed in Saigon and hit the ground running. Meeting with leaders of the Baptist Convention, sharing the Gospel with a young Vietnamese lady, and praying for an American pastor battling Parkinson's disease set the tone for our impactful week.
But that was just the beginning. Thanks to the generosity of Daybreak and other supporters, we were able to contribute significantly to two vital projects: purchasing land for a minority group to build a church and providing fuel expense funds for minority Bible students to attend the Baptist Seminary in Saigon.
On Wednesday, January 31st, we embarked on a journey to visit four different churches in extreme southwestern Vietnam. From delivering care packages to ministers and their spouses to praying for those in need, our day was filled with acts of compassion. At one location, the power of the Gospel led to ten people rededicating their lives to Christ!
Thursday, February 1st, took us to the southernmost area of Vietnam to minister to the Khmer people. Despite challenges like polluted waterways and recent storms damaging church infrastructure, our message of unity and faith resonated deeply. Witnessing 35 individuals embrace Christ or recommit to Him was a testament to the power of God's love.
Our journey continued on Friday, February 2nd, with a meeting with Baptist Convention leadership to pray for the church's well-being. After repacking donations for pastors and church leaders, we made our way to the coast for weekend speaking engagements with pastors and leaders.
Saturday, February 3rd, found us visiting ministries along the east coast, where we provided support, prayed for the sick, and marveled at the incredible work being done in local communities. Our hearts were touched as we toured a church with an attached orphanage, witnessing the joy of children and the dedication of those serving them.
Finally, on Sunday, February 4th, we preached at a service near Vietnam's east coast, seeing ten individuals respond to the message of hope and salvation. As we journeyed toward the south-central mountainous region, we reflected on the impact of our shared mission.
Monday, February 5th, brought us to the Sang-chi people, where we celebrated the donation towards a new church and had the privilege of baptizing seven individuals. Our day was filled with travel and fellowship, including a touching moment of prayer with a young woman struggling with familial pressures.
We also had the joy of witnessing the transformation of a hotel owner and his wife, who embraced Christ after a conversation with our team. Their newfound peace was a powerful reminder of God's presence in every circumstance.
As we reflect on our time in Vietnam, we're grateful for the opportunity to serve, share, and witness the love of Christ in action. Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue our journey of faith.
Blessings,
