Mission Update: Celebrating Progress and Unity

As we reflect on June, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible work God is doing through our mission partners. This month, we have seen remarkable progress and unity across various projects, and we are excited to share these updates with you.

Zion Full Gospel Church's Second Thanksgiving

Zion Full Gospel Church recently celebrated its second church thanksgiving, giving all the glory to God. This milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Rev. Lance, Missionary Kim, and Daybreak Community Church in Vermont. Their contributions have been instrumental in the growth and development of this church.

Initially, funds were sent for the "Healing Project" at Holy Ground Full Gospel Church in San Jose. However, due to local regulations, the project was halted last year. Facing the challenge of potential waste of materials, especially hardening cement bags, we redirected those resources to build a smaller church at the foot of the mountains. The lot for this new church was purchased for just over a hundred dollars, thanks to the financial support from our dedicated donors.

We understand that these materials were not originally intended for this church and recognize the hurdles faced by the Healing Project. Yet, we firmly believe that all things work together for good for those who love Him.

The pictures below showcase the construction and the sense of community that has been built.

Progress at The Lighthouse Center

We are thrilled to share the latest updates on the renovation of the Women’s & Children’s Center, known as "The Lighthouse Center," in Panabo City, Mindanao, Philippines. This vital ministry, led by Pastor Hernani and Pastora Mila Resueno under the "Strength In The Valley Foundation," continues to make significant strides.

The Lighthouse Center has expanded by six meters, and they have completed the gutter and roof work on the outside. They are now "re-partitioning" the rooms inside to better serve the community.

Pastora Mila provided an inspiring description of their efforts: “On-going building of the SVFoundation's Lighthouse where the women, children, and Pastoral Ministries will be housed.”

Here are some recent photos showcasing the progress at The Lighthouse Center:

Updates from Faith Island Mission, Inc.

Pastor Jason Sales, along with Pastora Shirley, are making significant progress with their mission projects. Pastor Jason shared an update in his own words: “We are almost done with the pillars. Getting stuff ready for hollow blocks and beams.”

VBS for Sang Chi Children in Vietnam

In Vietnam, we had the privilege of funding a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the Sang Chi people, bringing joy and new experiences to 150 children. Hosted by the United Baptist Convention and coordinated by our mission partners Muc Su Dung Pham and his wife Co Tam, this VBS was a success.

With a budget of $600.00 US funds, we were able to provide a memorable experience for these children. The highlight of the VBS was transporting the Sang Chi children to see the ocean for the first time in their lives. Their excitement and wonder were truly heartwarming.

Gratitude and Looking Forward

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported these initiatives. Your prayers, donations, and encouragement have made a profound impact on communities around the world. As we move forward, we remain committed to supporting our mission partners and spreading God’s love and compassion.

Stay tuned for more updates and stories of hope and transformation. Together, we are making a difference.
