July Mission Highlights: Global Impact and Community Fellowship

July has been a busy month for Encouraging Word International, filled with impactful activities across Haiti, the Philippines, and our local community. Below is a summary of our latest efforts.

Vacation Bible School in Bombardopolis, Haiti

We are excited to share the latest update from the Jerusalem Children's Home (JCH) in Bombardopolis, Haiti. President Reedson Maurancy and his staff organized a six-day Vacation Bible School (VBS) across two separate church locations, serving 300 children each day at Pure Evangelism Church from July 16-18, and Satellite Unité Chretian Church from July 22-24.

Here's an unedited letter from President Reedson:

Good morning Daybreak Community Church,

We are very happy to say hello to brothers and sisters in Christ. We are very excited and grateful this year to see how God used you to help us have the VBS this summer in two churches. President Reedson Maurancy and the staff are very, very happy, and we want to say thank you so much for the funds. Some pictures will be coming soon to show what happened in the VBS. We love you, brothers and sisters, especially thanks to Rev. Lance, Sister Kim, and Pastor Jesse. Thank you again for everything, Daybreak Community Church.

Holy Ground Full Gospel Church Update in San Jose, Negros Island, Philippines

Women’s and Children’s Center Update (The Lighthouse Center) in Panabo City, Mindanao, Philippines

The renovation of the “Women’s and Children’s Center” (The Lighthouse Center) in Panabo City, Mindanao, Philippines, continues to make great progress. After completing much of the exterior work, the team has now moved inside to work on the bathroom, hallways, and children’s wing. Here are the latest photos and videos of the renovation process.

Cooking Class Series at Daybreak Church

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 4th Annual Daybreak Community Church Cooking Classes led by Kim Anh! This three-week series was a wonderful time of learning and fellowship as Kim Anh taught us how to make simple Vietnamese appetizers such as spring rolls and egg rolls.
